The winner of our fantastic Bake Off competition to mark our 25th anniversary has made a cake so all our lovely customers can try it.
Louise Chaplow, from Kendal, wowed the judges with her cake which won our baking contest judged by former Great British Bake Off winner Nancy Birtwhistle.
If you’d like to try one of Louise’s creations – a vanilla sponge with salted caramel swiss meringue buttercream – we are cutting the cake for customers to taste at 3pm on Saturday, October 20th. If you’re passing, please pop in.
We are delighted to say that we’re making Christmas a little bit easier for you this year. Look out for the snowflake sticker on items in our Gift Hall, buy three and get the cheapest one free. Gifts include candles, glasses, toiletries, etc
Try before you buy!
On November 30th we will be holding a mini Food Festival at Country Harvest where you can try lots of fabulous foods which would perfect for your Christmas table or as gifts for foodies in your family.
The event runs from 6-8pm. We will also be opening the Christmas Cabin for late night shopping that evening too.
Come and see our Christmas lights being switched on and enjoy an evening of free family entertainment.
From 5.30pm on November 1st there will be free family entertainment, a live reindeer, the official lights switch-on at 7pm and a performance by Giggleswick and Settle Brass Band in our Coffee Shop at 7.15pm.
Breakfast with Santa returns in 2018.
Every Saturday in December (and also Sunday, December 23rd and Monday, December 24th) Father Christmas is coming to visit our Coffee Shop at 9am and 10am. Your youngster will have breakfast with Santa, receive a gift and enjoy a story read by an elf. All for £10.
One accompanying adult per child and there will be a limited menu for adults wishing to eat breakfast with their child.
Tickets go on sale from October 1st.

Yorkshire baker and former winner of TV’s Great British Bake Off Nancy Birtwhistle will be giving a Perfect Pastry masterclass on August 9th.
Nancy, who won the television show in 2014, is well known for her no-nonsense bakes and the ability to troubleshoot kitchen problems.
She will demonstrate how to make an open fruit tart at the event and will also discuss cake making.
Tickets for the Perfect Pastry event at 6pm on August 9th cost £7.50 and include a cream tea to enjoy while watching Nancy’s masterclass.

We are holding a baking competition in a marquee in our grounds on August 9th to mark our 25th anniversary.
We want 25 of our lovely customers to make a celebration cake for us which will be judged by former Great British Bake Off (GBBO) winner Nancy Birtwhistle.
There are cash prizes worth £450 to be won!
Any flavour or design, it just has to fit on a 12in by 12in cake board and you need to bring it in on August 9th for the judging at 5pm.
The overall winner will also be asked to make Country Harvest’s official anniversary cake for an event on October 20th. All ingredients supplied.

In June we are holding our second Festival of Sausages.
If you dream of creating your own flavour of sausage…or would like to be a sausage taster for the day then we want to hear from you.
To mark Country Harvest’s 25th anniversary, we will be offering 25 different flavours of sausage for you to try during the two days, including six of YOUR suggestions.
The two-day Festival will also include a sausage-making challenge between our champion butcher George Taylor and colleague Chris Langford at 4pm on the Saturday. All free.
